Please be advised that access to the Loading
Dock at Duke Hospital will be closed from
Thursday, Jan. 4th, 4:00pm until Friday, Jan.
5th, 4:00am.
Make sure your vehicles are out by Thursday,
Jan. 4th, 4:00pm or they will not be able to get
out until the next morning.

Laundry trucks and MM vehicles.)
FMD will be digging up the road to make
connections to the chilled water loop.

Subject: Short Normal Power Interruptions
An interruption to normal power has been scheduled
for Tuesday, December 12, 2006 beginning at
5:30 am and continuing until 6:00 am for a
total duration of ½ hours. This interruption is
necessary to perform work on the high voltage switch
gear serving the Main Entrance Building, D&T,
Gerontology and CR1.

Utilities connected to normal power,
such as lights and receptacles will be off during
this interruption.

AS A PRECAUTION, PLEASE TURN OFF
ALL COMPUTERS DURING THIS SHUTDOWN.
·
All major equipment, including
heating, ventilation and air conditioning will be
OFF during this interruption.
·
Domestic hot and cold water, medical
gasses and the fire system will NOT be
affected.
·
Main Entrance
Building/Gerontology/D&T/ and CR1, all floors will
be affected by this normal power outage.
Maintenance personnel will be on duty during this

The Duke Hospital North fire pump will be off
line from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM on Wednesday ,
October 25. Hot work (cutting, grinding,
soldering, brazing, welding etc.) WILL NOT BE
ALLOWED during this shutdown. This will
affect the bed towers (7546) , the ancillary
(7547) and e-core (7573).
