As a follow up to our previous email, we have secured a lease for 415 parking spaces located at the closed Best Products Store located in the University Shopping Center, 3438 Hillsborough Road near the intersection of Hillsborough Road and LaSalle Street. These spaces will be designated for H and RX parking permits and will be available January 6, 2003.

Bus service will be provided from 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. From 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. bus service will be approximately every 10 minutes. During other hours, bus service will be approximately every 20 minutes. The bus route will have stops in the research area and at Duke North. In order to provide this bus service we must curtail the bus service to Hillsborough Road overflow area. The H-4 route that runs between the Hillsborough Road overflow area and Entry 11 will be discontinued. We have also been notified by our leasing agent that our contract for RX parking at the closed Pizza Hut on Erwin Road and adjoining property will be terminated effective March 17, 2003. The newly leased spaces at the closed Best Products Store will more than offset this loss of parking. This information is being distributed throughout Duke University Medical Center.
